Hey all, I'm about to get some clear turns and sidemarkers, and I'm wondering if I should replace the amber lights with white lights. (So they'd blink white, instead of yellow).

How inadvisable is this? Would it be something that I'd get pulled over for 20 times a month? Does it not matter? Is it even illegal really? ( I think so.. )

What's your advice?

White on just the sidemarkers seems much more legal- while keeping the turns yellow.. any thoughts?

I love the look of white, especially with a body kit, but yeah I do believe they're illegal. But everyone says tint in the front side windows is too here in CA....I haven't heard of any problems with it.

Honestly I don't think the cops really know that the white little pieces of plastic are something they could ticket you for, so I say go for it.

Maybe forkee could let you know if he's ever been pulled over for his.

It is illegal in CA. I talked to HW patrol about it. However, generally they won't pull you over just for that. They can if they want, but usually they won't.

However, tick a cop off when he pull you over for something else, and you can be sure to have that added to your ticket.

I wouldn't advise it, unless your car is just for show, doing that is just going to attract cop's attention, and that is never a good thing. Personally, I think the clear with amber bulb looks good too, so go figure.
