u answered your own question. not many parts for the Celica cause there isn't a "high demand" for the aftermarket parts. really, only a handful of people out of 100 can afford Lambo doors. best thing to do is custom Fab a kit to fit like Soundslut did. -------------------- Jared Harwell

That's why they have kits specifically for those cars. And they're probably cheaper because they have enough of a demand for those kits that they can make a lot of them and sell them cheap. I'm actually glad that they don't make things like Altezza-style tail-lights and Lamborghini door kits for our cars. It means that not every ricer is going to buy a sixth generation Celica, when they can buy a Civic that has that large aftermarket for it. Also, it makes people in the community be innovators, such as Soundslut with his fully-custom Lamborghini doors. And I don't see what the problem is with Civics. There are some really nice ones that look great and would smoke our cars. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

They do make them now for 7th gen 2000-2004. I got latches for the civic which I was going to mod these when time permits. I know I stated this before. My main problem is Im new to my celica, and i have been plagued with little problems, I have been working out. Example, I just got it and then one rear window went out, 3 days later the other one. It started raining the same day. Next my motor for my top went out. I have been buying everything on ebay, because the dealer is a straight rip-off. Previous owner yanked the amp and alarm brain out of the vehicle, not to mention the full soda they spilled under the shifter which landed on the previous alarm radar sensor. Ok Ill quit boring you guys. Last week I installed a viper alarm and installed the amps and processor unit. This weekend i dropped it with coils and put on the slotted brake discs and new pads all the way around. Im ready for the body kit, and since i got some different fenders I will be able to remove them and answer the question is it possible to fit decahs lambo door latches on the celica. I fitted these before on another car, so I got some experience in what works an dont. The main problem I see, is that the mounting surface has to be flat, if not use got to slice with a cutting wheel and hammer flat.
ill keep you guys tuned to results. |

It was me asking around to see what kinda intrest there was in a Lambo Kit. I can get my hands on some Hinges that Open both OEM and vertical which is nice. If I had a Donor car, or when I get another 6gc I will start chopping. I think it could be done realisticly for a "fair" price. Also there was people (XXXmina) that was interested In fully motorized versions, which could be done. O yeah If anyone wants to help, you get a FREE Kit, if your the donor car.

I saw a guy on EBAY selling CAD specs for a lambo kit that you could take to a machine shop and have made and customized. Can't remember how much it went for but it was cheap. Not sure how much it would cost to have that machined, but I'm sure it would be cheaper then 1500 bones. You could problably find it with a quick search for lambo doors on EBAY.
LOL, I also saw a guy selling a universal Lambo kit for $50... although he had a shipping and handling price of $1500! Nice trick Mr Shaddy. -------------------- |

You can make any car fast no matter what. I have friends with 1991 MAZDA 323 GTRs (1.8L awd) that have spent like $40k and more on them and their cars are about 450bhp. My body kit guy has a 4dr Mazda GTR 1997 2wd that pushes 390 bhp. My best friend's brother has a doom buggy with a Porsche engine on it at around 380bhp. So its not really a matter of what the car label is or who is driving it, isn't it? |

I found a corp that will make 94-99 Celica vertical doors for me. The price is I think 900 shipped. Its not universal and there is a g/b option. I plan on ... eventually ... getting these and letting you all know how they work.

yea we got new rims sittin in the living room for it
If your talkin about the supra.. ya you'd prolly beat it but its would stay with you for a while
Oh theres a big difference.. granted neone can throw unlimitied cash at a car and make it quick but for the average person the better the base car the quicker it will end up being...NOT SAYIN A CIVIC IS BETTER THAN A CELICA CUZ IT ISN'T! Alot depends on the driver too.. if the driver can make the car reach its full potential then your losing alot
ME TOO! Back to the topic.... You can custom do this to your car for pretty cheap and its not hard at all do a search and you will come up with another post about this topic that I had a buncha links etc about how to do it -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |
