OK I really wanted to figure this one out without comming to this forum for help haha. I have lost some acceleration in all gears its not alot, but I can tell its not there. It doesn't have that throw me back into my seat thrust. I chaged Spark Plugs, checked electrical wires and ****, and I have pretty much looked through my entire engine. Could this be some kind of Vaccum problem? or maybe somethings up with my Electronic ****? I need some help guys. -Brandon -------------------- |

I hope its not that, I just got a new one about 5,000 miles ago, and I made sure not to push it for the first 700.

Or maybe he's just used to the power... Try having someone else drive your car while you sit in the passenger seat. I know that when I ride in my brother's MR2, I feel that "throw me back in my seat" feeling. But when I drive it... it feels fast... without the feeling. It could be psychological...

I've felt this way before too. Its all perception....because one day i'll feel like my car has some balls, then other days it doesnt quite have that same feel to it. Meanwhile, if im in the passener seat it feels alot faster. Who knows. Also, i notice that this happens alot when i get it back from my mechanic and he works on the engine....just that slight difference in the way the engine runs makes me feel wierd for a while. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |

Yeh I am thinking its all perception now cause yesterday it felt like it usually does, I dunno? Could the Temp. change have anything to do with it? I bought my celica in the winter and now its summer out here and alot hotter.

I was just gonna say this... heat, humidity, barometric pressure, etc. all have effects on your engine.
My car is a lot faster in the cold weather but runs smoother in the heat. - aba |
