Sorry to bring up an old topic, but if you've just have your celi for a few months like me, you'll be surprised that...

HOLY CRAP WE HAVE CHANGE HOLDERS.

I am amazed...

wow are you serious, i had no idea we had a change holder, been using the dang ashtray. ill check it out later. i actually like how the cupholders are hidden like that, but i can see if you had a stick it would suck smile.gif i usually just hold my drinks anyway.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

Thats pretty easy to fix. I had to do it to my '95.
I really don't see myself writing up a how to for that but all you have to do is build up a little superglue in layers at a time over the now worn down bumps on the sliding cupholder part. The bumps are how they lock onto the corresponding bumps on the center console peice. You may have to build them up a little too.
I did and it worked great until I sold the car 2 years later. biggrin.gif

ya i use it has a card holder, which im sure is waht those slots are for. fits perfectly. though i use the card as an interior window scraper. my old cupholder is actually a seaweed container. its a square with a screwoff top, and i descovered that a cup fits perfectly into it, and that the container also fits into the arm rest storage area pretty well too. its also out of the way when i shift.

yeah I found out about then within a few days (maily because I was looking everywere for everything) the cup holders suck though , there not bad for a can of soda, or a small dring, but anything bigger and shifting is hard (even with my short shifter) I usualy dont get a drink at fast food places any more, because they dont fit, however you can wedge them between the door and the seat, a large will stay there pretty good untill you hit the breaks, but if you hold your elbow on the lid you can keep it from sliding as well as hold the wheel.

I found the coin slots a few months ago and maid a thread here on it too smile.gif got about the same responces. its a pretty cool little place but 3 quarters each? donsent make sence.
I got an old pic:

its right under the lip of the cup holder tray, the 2 little slots. thats also before I got the ash tray thing too, I just tossed em coins in there.

If you open your arm rest there are 3 little grooves (on the right side right on the lip of the armrest compartment). When I get my camera back I will take a picture so all you who have never seen it can finally see the light..

You guys should see Jaws4God's cup holder. He somehow modified it so that the piece for the cup holder extends into the back of the car and you can put the drinks there without them getting in the way. It would be harder to acess but I guess it works.

If he ever gets on and reads this maybe he will post a pic.

For me...

cupholder only used for small coffee cups from Tim's. If i have a bigger drink, my cup holder then is 1 of 2 places..the gf's hand, of if the gf isnt around, stuffed between the door and my seat.

Storage spot beside cig lighter is holding my twin outlet lighter(for now) and holds my parking card for school

Ashtray- coin/mic crap holder...and my remote for my cd player fits in perfectly.

American's won't know what "Tim's" is
(well maybe some)

Tim's = Tim Horton's (Canada's Dunkin Donuts)

now i found the coin holder... that is on the left side below the armrest... (maybe cos its a RHD car?).

the ashtray is a perfect fit for any king size of 20 cigarette box... its made for it... and the lighter is but on the back and the shape of console is just for staying there
