I searched the site and I found a bunch of topics dealing with the offset of wheels, and I keep seeing different responses. I'm thinking of getting 18's, with a width of around 7-8 inches. For the rims I have been looking at, I've seem offsets of anywhere from 38-42 mm(I think it's mm). Does anyone know if that offset would fit alright on my car (95 ST Coupe) without sticking out at all? |

i have 18"x7.5" with wheel spacers. My offset is 30mm, and the only problem i have is rubbing because my car is too low and my offset is a little aggressive. 35-40mm would be a good offset to look for.

Hello,
I got an important question as well regarding this topic . What would be a good offset when the front wheels are going to be 18x8,5 and the rear wheels 18x9,5??? The tires will be 235 35R18. It`s a `96 Gt Four. Thank you for any response. This post has been edited by snakeloa: May 5, 2004 - 4:13 PM -------------------- |

not sure about with those extra wide wheels but
i have 18x7.5 with a +35 offset I recomend goin with a +38 offset as I cant go as low as I would like to go. If you dont want extreml lowering a +35 offset should be fine. cormudgen |

Cormudgen ur tires look like 45's, if u had 35's u'd be able to go lower...just wouldnt have the same protection.
Not talking offset but sidewall. -------------------- |

Well let me ask the other way around.
Is there anyone who drives rims with 18x8,5 or even better 18x9,5 or a mixture of both? So please let us all know your offsets. Ithink it would be a great help to all. -------------------- |

Dude I'm looking at getting some 18x8.5's myself. I don't think anyone one this site has what your asking for, I've looked. Maybe go by a tire shop or something and get a professional opinion.

Just to let you know:
In Switzerland there is a Gt Four with 18x8,5 Rims at the front and 18x9,5 at the rear end. Each one of the rims has got a 35mm offset and the tires are 235 35R18. The car is even lowered. No Joke!!! Take a look: Gt Four CH It`s the red car you see on the first page. Nice. Isn`t it? -------------------- |

i honestly dont think it would fit. before i put my new wheels on I was dropped about 3.5" after putttin the +35 245/40/18 wheels and tires on i had to raise it to about a 1.5" drop. i actualy sold my tires for that very reason, as sportlines are sitting about 10 ft from me right now. |
