you don't need KYB GR-2's. You need some koni yellows or JIC's or Tanabe's. The GR-2 are OEM spec shocks. In 2 years or so you'll have the same ****ty ride you have now. Whats your budget?

i've already had the kyb's on for about 1yr 9months, NO problems...unless youve got like 600 to buy and install the koni's..the kyb's are the way to go.
to get them, i'd say probably www.tirerack.com.
you may wanna check your boots also before you order the struts, they may need replacing as well..
as far as the springs,...it kinda depends on what your looking for,....the eibach prokit is only 1"drop, which dont do much, its more for handling improvment i'd say. the sportlines are a 1.5" which settle in over time, and take up the wheelgap nicely..the ride is nice and tight, which i really like. i think the intrax are a bit more 1.7or8 i *think* (guys help me out here! lol) tiens seem to have a very stock feel with a 1.5", again i *think* thats what it is, im sure someone will correct me if im wrong...
if you want adjustability, i'd say get the G/C's...unless you can afford a set of the jic's or somthin.. wink.gif
i'd say look through some meber profiles, see what they have..how it looks..and go from there.. biggrin.gif
hope that helps some!

I agree with what Pressure said.

The Tein S-Techs are 1.4" Frt and 0.9" RR though.
It all depends on your preference 98. I have the GC's on right now, thought it was the best set up for my situation living in a snowy state. I love them, but given my driving situation they're just not for me. Mainly good for autox'rs. Or ones that like hard cornering. I don't drive my car hard...I baby the thing....so with that in mind, a spring/kyb setup is right for me at this moment.

If I was you, evaluate your situation. Right now since my cars hit that 102k mark I wanted something more "stockish" to my original ride. The GC's were a lot stiffer and if you're planning on getting these then your best bet is to get the Koni's to go with it. Expect that with any coilover. Spring would probably be more tolerable, in my opinion. But if you're willing to spend about $1000+, for the xtra $350 or so you can get a complete set up with JIC or Tein.

So, keep budget in mind. How much are you willing to spend, and what's more accomodable for you? That should help you determine your decision. DOn't just get something just bcus it's the "best brand" out there. You gotta evaluate what's best for your situation.

id check out bilsteins well before bending over to kyb gr2's. go online and read reviews for them. i've read sooo many bad things about them. the bilsteins are just a tad more expensive (10$ per strut i think?), yet they are made by a respectable german strut company. and they'll take whatever beating you give to them. and besides that, they have a lifetime warranty like the koni's. so yeah, bilsteins...
