I get around 350 miles before I refuel, sometimes more if I stay out of too much traffic. I was pretty surprised with my mileage once I started keeping track.
*edit* Bad spelling, and I get about 26mpg. This post has been edited by S_C_M: May 11, 2004 - 10:51 PM |

i was getting 30mpg in the city
then with turbo at 8 PSI i got 23-25mpg in the city, depending on how i drove(when i had the turbo on there, i actually drove slower than before) now that i have a brand new engine im getting 23-24mpg in the city. toyota tells me that its just breaking in but its already got about 4k on the new engine and they told me at 5k it would get to normal we'll see how it goes, but since i dont drive the celica anymore, it doesnt affect me. i'm driving my 93 protege which gets about 28mpg in the city. my next car will probably get sub 20mpg which is why i have to keep my mazda This post has been edited by 97sccelica: May 11, 2004 - 9:49 PM -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

My del Sol gets about 32MPG if I drive like a sane person and not as if I stole the car from that poor elderly lady that lives down the street.

29.7 MPG average, mostly driving to work, 27 if I run it a little hard, 30-33 on a road trip. Stock GT 5 sp. with Amsoil in the engine and trans, and an Amsoil foam air filter element.

My gas light comes on around 330 miles, goes off and on until about 350 miles, and then stays on completely. Most I've ever streteched it out to was 371 miles, but when I filled up, I topped out at just over 14 gallons. Anyone else's gas tank hardly move from full until half tank, but from half tank to empty it just flys by fast? I can drive for a week and a half and my gas will go from full to half, but 4-5 days later I'm on empty. edit 4 spelling... 2 late at night... well, too early morning I guess This post has been edited by CupCrazy38: May 12, 2004 - 1:24 AM |

i don't have any clue anymore... i just drive and keep the tank between full and half a tank most of the time.. i really don't like seening that needle go under the half way make.. but when i do i just let it drop way past the E line and let the gas light stay on till it turns red ..

I get around 270-300 miles to the tank now with the intake and other mods. I used to get a solid 300-325 when stock (1999 5S-FE Manual). However I went on a 5 hour trip to Mardi Gras in New orleans which from Houston is fairly non-stop at 70MPH (okay so i was really pushing closer to 100 most of the time) and got right at 400 miles but I was completely dry at that point. And yes my gas gauge acts stupid like that as well. Another somewhat related question:
I used to own a '95 GT automatic and it ran way lower RPM's to get the same speed as my '99 GT Manual. Anybody else at 4000RPM's at 80 miles an hour? Could there be something wrong with my tranny or is it just in the gearing? -Negative -------------------- |

Me again. By the way my '99 manual gets to 80MPH about twice as fast as the old sluggish automatic. Which was really the point of switching in the first place.

28mpg city and 31 mpg highway. I usually get about 300-340 before I fill up which is about the 1/4 tank mark. I'm just glad gas isnt as high in utah as it is in cali. but still 2.19 a gallon is crazy. I hate filling up now.
