I wanna get some 4 point sparco harnesses, and im wondering where is a good place to put the shoulder straps.
I've heard of securing them to a rod running between the B-pillars. Also a rod running above the backseat head rests. Also, the metal under the back seats. And lastly, the floorboard. ( i hear its unsafe tho) What'd you think? -------------------- NASA/SCCA RX-7....currently under the knife

Are you planning on adding wings and an afterburner?

i rod in a ford focus zx3 that had them and he had it attached on the metal under the back seats, it was a pretty good way to do it i think. the back passengers weren't reallly restricted by them b/c the rider would just put their legs on either side of the harness mount.

Ok, here is how I am going to do it:Take the blastic off of theB-pillars and weld in two mounts behind the sholder harness mount. I am going to have a steel rod that will attach to the B-pillar, and be removable when I need aback seat.
Run the top two straps of the harness to the bar(make sure it's over your sholders when mounted) and fix the bottom two straps to the seat sliders in some form or fashion. |
