if you treat your celi right it should last a while more...but if u want to be safe and have money you can either..do a re-build so its new or the famous lol swap!

if nothing is wrong with it, then dont bother doing any type of rebuilds. just drive it and see how long it lasts.
you can always find a used celica engine for 500-800$ and swap that in there if yours dies. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

Depending on what you have, I would say work with suspension, and body.. an interior.. If you dont wanna go for a swap yet. Because then when you get it far enough, and your engine or components start to die, then you can do a swap or rebuild. I wouldnt do anything to performance wise, until you know the route your going, like dont spend 1k on intake exhaust, and other stuff.. if later on you might wanna do a swap. or do stuff like that if later theres a problem then all you can do is a rebuild.

95 ST with 156,000 miles. I have a little wisp of smoke at cold startup from the valve stem seals, but otherwise no problems and good compression. Like the other posters have said, if you take care of the car, it should take care of you. Finding a stock replacement engine isn't going to cost you an arm and a leg if it comes to that either. A swap, or custom parts on the other hand might, if that's your thing.

95 with 76k runnin strong. I havent had any problems what so ever with the engine except for the thermostat but thats nothin. Just drive it good until she dies then turn her into a monster!
