If your going to replace the airbags, your going to need to replace the whole system.Good luck finding it all at an affordable price. You might be better off just buying another Celi and using yours as a parts car.

I know that dude, thats why a lot of shops dont do airbag installation. I was just asking what parts are needed to have a working airbag system.

Drivers Airbag
Passenger Airbag Center Sensor Clock Spring Air Bag Door Passenger 2 Front Sensors There is the list of the parts you need, but before you start buying up this stuff I would suggest you go out and talk to a few autobody shops about if they will install and connect them. Some shops will put them on, but won't connect them because it is dangerous using used parts. The used sensors could actually make the used bags deploy when you hook them up, thats why some shops won't let you put in used parts. And even if you get it all connected, you still need to get it checked by an authorized center. You don't want to have a wreck and find out they don't work or worse case scenario, your driving down the road and the bags deploy while you are driving and cause you to have a wreck. Here is my suggestion to you: 1.Go kiss and thank your parents for caring enough about you, to make you put the airbags back in.You might be mad at them right now, but they are doing this for you own safety. They are just trying to keep you alive so they can love you for a long time.Big thumbs up to your parents. 2.Before buying any parts, get estimates and not just from one place.Figure up the cost of replacing everything to get your car back on the road.Make sure you figure in getting the system checked.Ask about gaurantees from any place you get estimates, there is no sense in spending $3000 on getting the car fixed if it wears out a front tire every 3 months because they could'nt get it lined up properly. 3.Once you know the cost of fixing your car, check out the NADA value of your car(not the kelly bluebook).Find out exactly what your car is worth. 4.Go to a few sites like autotrader.com and see how much cars like yours are going for, maybe look for one with minor damage or a blown motor and such. 5.Sit down with your parents and evaluate the costs of fixing your car or just getting another one and using parts off of yours and than parting the rest out.Is it more beneficial and safe to fix yours or just get another one? I know you are thinking like I did at first, that you want to put your car back on the road because you have worked so hard on fixing it up.But what good is spending more money than what it is worth, or getting it done and finding out you now have a problem car. You are like me right now, you can't decide because you are biased because you loved your car. This is why I said for you to sit down and talk it out with your parents.Your parents are older and wiser, they won't make decisions based on your love for your car. They will tell you straight up which is the best decision to make, hell they might even help you out getting another car. I know it is a hard decision to make, it took me several months to finally decide not to fix mine back.My decision was based on the cost being to high, unless I bought all used parts. Most body shops would'nt allow used parts for the airbag system.Than it came down to the body shops would'nt give me a gaurantee that when they fixed it, the car would be aligned and not wear out tires every 3 months. I would check to see if the inner fender seam broke on your car before I decide anything.Look right down beside where the strut comes up through the engine compartment, you will see a seam that is factory welded(you might need a flashlight to see it).I have seen alot of wrecked Celis and that seems to be a weak point for our years, if that seam is split open it could throw your wheel out of alignment, that was the big deciding factor on mine being fixed or not. If you need any other info, just hit me up.I have links to auto sites to buy cars if you decide to buy another one.I still have my estimate if you need any of that info. |

i did the whole thing back in february and march. it ended up costing me about 3500!! that included new airbags, front sensors, center sensor, air bag door, clock spring, windshield, (other parts in that include body kit to replace front bumper, new ac condensor, used reinforcement bar and mounts and 3 new headlights) i acutually ended up using the original clock spring (depends on case wether u can used it or not again) i also did all the work myself and let me tell u first hand that it is a major pain in the A$$. the airbags sensors and door i got from the toyota dealership here for 1650. u need to talk to the guys at ur dealorship and see if u can work a deal. i actually asked them and they told me 2200 then i had my dad call and they told him 1650 so be carefull bout that. good luck
