I want to buy a stock GT-4 hood or a good replica that will not give me any problems installing. Does anyone have one for sale or know what is the best way to get a hold of one?

DO NOT ORDER FROM TOYSPORT!!!!!!! you'll pay close to 800 for the hood and parts you need...either take the part # from the sticky in the exterior forum and go to your local toyota dealer and get the hood for like 350 and get the vents from www.toyotaworld.com..call them and ask for jeff...or you can just get all the parts from him. wink.gif

Not necessary. He asked a question, he gave it a shot.

yea...chances are your not gonna find someone selling one cheap if thats what your looking for...like i said in my earlier post, just go down to your local toyota dealer with the pt# for the hood. ask if he can get it for ya. if so, it should run about 350. then you call the guys down @ toyotaworld.com and order the vents.
or if your local guy is a d*ck, just call jeff @ toyotaworld, they will hook you up.

I checked with my local toyota guy and it's $347.00 shipped - more if I wanted "the things to close off the vents". Can anyone help a new guy out and tell me why I would want to close the vents?
Is it just because of wind drag?
I wanted to point my intake at the vents until I get the money to do the 3S-GTE swap at which point the hood actually becomes functional correct?
Also is this hood going to give me a gap on the front where my stock front does not pick up the extra contours of the GT-4? In the end I was hoping for a swapped engine with functional hood and hopefully a stock looking front with a lip spoiler. I was hoping to avoid that vent the GT-4 has on the front - it's just personal preference but i don't think it looks as good with it. That gap might not look bad though...
Any advise is greatly appreciated.

i think he's thinking of a 90-93 alltrac vent....pointing your intake at the vent will not work...its a vent...it lets air out...
