Hi everyone, this is my first post on here, just signed up the other day. What I am planning on doing to my 95 gt 5sp is a ripp mods supercharger kit, starting off w/ 5#. What i really wanna do is the all trac conv, but all I want is the tranny, driveshaft, and rearend. I also know that I need a J spec gas tank to do this. Will the tranny off a 3sgte work? Any other suggestions? thanx!

The ST205 transmission should bolt up to your 5SFE without any problem. I have no idea about the flywheel or fuel tank (fuel cell?) however. You'd also need the entire GT-Four rear suspension, a new exhaust, and quite a bit of time and effort to get the whole thing working properly. For the amount of money and time you will invest in the AWD conversion I think you'd end up disappointed in the end, particularly if you only ran low boost.

Neverstop had completed the AWD conversion at one point, maybe he'll give you some more info.

yea neverstop did this at one point,

he determined that it wasn't very safe or feesable i believe to do

point #1- unstable at high speeds
point #2- your rearend will never be perfectly aligned
point #3- you better off just buying a wrx if you want awd

I'm only going to run 5# on my stock engine. When I build up my internals, plans are to go up to 18#

If your plans are to go up to 18psi, even with built internals i think its questionable in a 5sfe. Youll spend more money bulding up that engine to handle that much boost than... something really big, i have no analogy. If your goals are that much power, i would suggest the 3sgte swap (first time i have ever recommended the swap over tc/sc)

If fact, if you are willing to spend that much money on bulding up the 5sfe and converting to AWD, you are a perfect canidate to spend the amount of money it would take to legally bring in a GT-4

its the sc kit from ripp mods. they have diff pulley combos that go 5, 9, 11, etc. I'm not going to do the awd anymore, just gonna concentrate on building the internals and getting back into stereo competition again...
