well im gonna toss a head unit in my 95 gt. im partial to panasonic and pioneer. I am not looking for show-winning stuff, just good sound. I don't want to spend more than 200 bucks. MP3 playback is not a necessity but it would be a bonus. can anyone point me in the right direction?

Panasonic Head Unit

This is what I recently bought - it retails for 240 as you can see but I got mine for ~180 shipped new off eBay. Installed it myself, it was pretty easy - I recommend it!

Actually, here is a link to a current auction by the same company I bought mine from: eBay link

Shipped it out fast and was in perfect shape! smile.gif

Alpine is one of the best yeah for sure... but it is fairly expensive. I got a sony Xpload deck mainly because it was extremely cheap, and had lots of pretty colours biggrin.gif

I would just like to point out that he dosent know what hes talking about... for the record...

JVC makes a really good head unit. I have the 3100 and have had no problems with it.
Its really a great head unit. However my sony did suck. I would never buy one of the new keenwoods, there to cheap looking....

I have a panasonic head unit for sale. It is VERY nice. 45x4. Blue face. The only reason I am replacing it is because I am going to red instrument panel. Please let me know if you would like pics. I would sell it for $100 shipped.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
