well, there aren't many GSR's. There are those who claim to have one but they are really not. But in any case. He would beat you. Stock or not. More power and lighter.

Edit: Unless he sucked at shifting.

y do u guys say he must of not known how to drive I think that Celica’s are pretty fast car they are not slow they can beat most Hondas and maybe u guys think they are slow cuz u cant drive. It was a real gsr I think that u are confusing them with a type r cuz there are not many of them out there and there are allot of fakes.

I'm not hating on you or anything, but they are fast cars. I drove one and I wasn't used to driving it, but it was still pretty fast. They have 170 horsepower and VTEC from the factory.

... uh... you would get owned if it was a GS-R. Not matter what, even if you had a whole bunch of **** done to your engine besides turbo, it would still get you stock. My car before my Celica was a 1990 Integra GS-R, and let me tell you, it weighs a buck 90 plus its a 160hp VTECH stock. I ran Eclipse GST's with just an intake. I'd still have that car if I didn't red line it every time I drove it and blew up the engine.... I miss her so much. ;(

I just want to know One thing, who gives a damn about hondas? I love my celica and yea it's slow but who cares just love what you got. If anyone wants a faster stock car then just get a car that faster stock.

With agressive cams and some other stuffs...that $hit is really fast. REALLY! but i still wooped on it by 2 and half car length which is pretty impressive. So just imagine how a 94+ would do. I never got a chance to find a 94+ GSR to go against before...

Well said Mac, im with ya here....I mean really, the celica is quick enough for my taste, mines a GT and it pulls pretty strong. I mean, it could use a little more power, but Toyota clearly designed our car with drivability and handling in mind, not flat out speed, thus the GT-4 and Supra. Alot of how quick your car feels depends on how quick you can work your way through your gears too......one of my friends had a bored out camaro Z-28 with all kinds of work to the engine, but his shifting wasnt that quick and smooth, thats where you can loose lots of speed.

my friend just bought a bone stock 95 4 door GSR..i doubt doubt he will walk me any day of the week.

A Supercharged GSR...hmmm...I raced a supercharged gsr from california from a highway roll of 50 to 100 and it put like 1 1/2 car lenghts on me...o yeah, I was driving a low 14 second 2g GSX...i would have taken them from a roll.

he must have done something wrong with the vtec controller

any stock gsr stock is faster than a usdm celica because it is light and has more power. its as simple as that

if he is a bad driver, then i dont doubt that you got ahead. but once a gsr is moving, there is no stopping it.(i kno, my friend has one)

the type R's are rare. the GS-R's are everywhere. they are the 3rd fastest stock car honda makes(s2000 and prelude are faster but not by too much)

that being said, i still would not drive one, lol. there are too many on the road, i dont go with the crowd. wouldnt mind a prelude tho(but a friend is getting one in a month or so) it would be the best car if it was rwd(which is why my im gettin my uncles 240sx and putting my turbo stuff on it)

i know gsr's are alot faster but im just happy i beat him off the line if it was from a roll i would of got owned by him. but i was only 4ft away from his bumper at the end and know that i think about it it kinda sounded like his vtek kicked in at like 3rd gear cuz when he started to chach up his engine got really load and then he passed me

I'll be honest. If I didn't have my celica, I'd have a 93 Civic hatch.
