Well the last few days were nice for the 4 (GT4). A few days ago i was coming to a red light and in front of me two Civics Type Rs were launching on green. I was watching them take off and then i decided to catch them up just to see who would won so i downshifted to 2nd. At my suprice, i was behind them at no time and when i shifted to third the power difference was so great that i passed them while they were racing each other. kinda of reminded me with the opening seen of "Torque" actually. I later parked in a good spot in the tourist area where we were heading and i was waiting for them to come and ask me how i passed them and i was prepared to tell them that i was just in a hurry but no luck, they did not show up
Yesterday a nicely done swap of an Evo 6 tried to catch me off guard from behind. It wasnt' to riced out. I had to see it from behind to see that it wasn't an awd. Well, even with my clutch problems and bad launches the guy was dead. I waited for him at the next traffic lights but as soon as he saw that, he was so embarassed that he slowed down and changed direction Currently i am looking for competition but it seems that people generally see my hood and are discouraged. I didn't have that problem with my Curren though. Back then, i was fed up with street racing as all the Type Rs, Evos and WRXs knew that they could beat me. Until i race an original EVO or WRX with my GT4, i ll keep looking for competition. This post has been edited by neoklis: Jun 4, 2004 - 1:42 AM |

Yes the import scene is quite large, since everything is imported anyway. I agree with Magic, we have everything but no time really. I am a chartered accountant (CPA statewise) and i work like 12 hours a day. So my time is quite limited.
Now for the Skylines, well I haven't come across one while driving to check things out, but i guess it would smoke me. Skyline is in a different category and should only be compared to Supras. |

Theres an R-34 here in vegas. Dude keeps it garaged. He moved from Japan to Vegas. I'll see if I can get a pic of it. It was on the inside of a Import Mag Cover. I cant find pics but its the blue one with Bronze rims. Good luck.

Beeeep wrong answer. You should be able to take down a R34 GT or GT2.5-t pretty easy. Or a R33 GTS, GTS25, GTS4, GTS25-t for that matter. It's only the RB26's that will do serious damage to a GT4 in stock form. Sure you could build any of these cars a long way (except the RB25DE's), but even my ZR (or GT) celica outraced a stock R33 GTS25t to 3rd gear. After that he blew me away but the point is there are many forms of a skyline, not just a GTR. |
