they are vented, but they won't go on a US celica because the axle spindles are different.

Hey man don't worry, you can do a drum --> disc conversion, I gotta do this eventually. Check the how-to articles, someone did a write up on their conversion. It really shouldn't be a necesity unless you have alota horsepower or your car somehow gained 1000lbs. Bigger drilled/sloted rotors and carbon metalic pads in the front should be sufficient untill you start going high horsepower. Drums aren't great but they will do, Ferrari's raced with drum breaks for the longest time back in the 60's which shows you they can work in high speed applications, not as well but better than nothing. Discs sure look alot better with rims though.... cwm13.gif

Yea, but have you ever tried to power brake your car for a launch with an auto? IT torques forward. The brakes just can't hold much.

You shouldn't be doing that anyway unless you want to destroy your transmission

disc brakes offer better braking and look cooler since you can paint the calipers and sh1t. So do a drum --> disc swap is what i say.

Not sure what years the 5th gen was off hand, by i know that the brakes off a 88 GT-s will work.
Here's the link of someone that has done it. ( 88 GT-s Conversion )

I got them from an Ebay auction... yea ebay frown.gif newayz they where supposed to be 199 plus shipping but when I had them send it C.O.D. they messed up and sent it as if I had prepaid for it... hoping that I will get them for free... sometimes at work when I order stuff C.O.D. and they send it as its been prepaid I never have to pay for it so I hope that happens here but who knows.. they probably notice it and send me a bill

edit: Vphmc - there awesome for OEM size rotors! you will really like them

Are you serious?
Go to Nopi.com and look at them.
Also go to ebay.
