okay, about a month ago i took my car to gr tech to fix it. due to miscomunication between us, i found out they didnt have room for it, so i went to neighboring cartek to take out the eninge. they took it out, i left everyone alone and went home. 3 days later got a call from cartek telling me they didnt have room for my car... i was like "****" and had it towed to s&h autoshop for storage. i left everyone alone and checked on my car everynow and then to see whats going on ... everytime my engine would be at cartek , untouched by gr. finally i went yesterday (thursday) and it was still untouched... i was like WTF, and had it immedietly sent to JAMASCO. they recieved it friday morning before 10am, they sent me these pics of it in pieces friday night with this message:

"Your crank is in perfect condition, I will be sending the block out tomorrow. Here are some PICS. All the ring lands on the pistons were cracked like I said. One piston was badly burned."

The imagestation link works. Mina, any more engine modification plans as you are repairing it?

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

iam doing a full rebuild: "Forged pistons, steel head gasket, Toyota engine overhaul kit, Greddy timing belt, titanium retainers, dual valve springs, new oil pump, new thermostat. "

and iam going to either rebuild the ct20b or buy a bigger turbo ...

as for downpipe, i think i can install that myself... so it can wait for later... plus with today's gas prices, i wanna add another cat not take one out ...

instead of the engine being a 2.0ltr, it would be 2.1, or 2.2. More displacement =more air in and out= more power. Lots more I would think.

for now iam going with wiseco pistons, as for turbo, any turbo with a t3 flange will be easy to get on there... an easy to find upgrade kit is the t67.. there is a gt25 , gt28, and gt30 kit on e-bay... adding a turbo is easy, you just need the money for them. you might also wanna get a external wastegate, downpipe and exhaust manifold... allot of turbos will bolt on the stock manifold with just an adaptor, the downpipe is a nice upgrade , and the external wastegate can be welded into stock exhaust manifold...
