Almost Back to Normal, Harden Bodykit? Options

Well over the past few days i have been slowely fixing my car back to normal! I put all my turn signals back in! Still am working on the LED thing, but.....

a friend of mine said "why dont you just pack bondo in all the holow places of your kit! so when u hit a curb it doesnt shatter!?" I know nothing about bondo? Just curious if this would work?

IDK what ur kit made up of, but im going to reply assuming its fiberglass. In which case when you or if you hit something, it doesnt shatter. It can be described as a tearing. Since its fibers, its "woven" together and so it cant shatter.

Does anyone, think this is a good idea? Or anything else anyone can think of to use?!!!?? at least i know it sounds maybe like a way to harden our kits. And yes i have a fiberglass kit! Thanks guys

dude i kinda did this, i cracked my front lip of the vader kit, and i re fiberglassed it back together then BONDO with FIBERGLASS strands IN IT. the backside of it, made it much stronger i accidentally nicked the street with that exact same spot just a lil scrapage and no tare or rip

dont fill it, all you will do is blow a ton of cash on bondo. a better idea is to use some tiger hair fiberglass compound (which is chopped fiberglass that is in a bondo compound) to add a layer or two to the backing would definatly help strengthen against cracks.

What i did with my kit was fill the inside of the lip with fiberglass. I used the resin and hardner and poured it in. Ruff up the inside of the surface first.

Yeah you can also just use some kind of foam or other filler to just fill the space. If you something to hold the shape of the fibreglass it will be more likely to flex than snap. Maybe some sort of expanding foam spray could work.

this is why i hate fiberglass and dont think it should be used for body kits. the main problem is that fiberglass dosnt flex like polyurathane does. so when you hit something it will just crack your kit.
