i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

J, whats your technique for painting the calipers?

First, clean all the grease off with a good cleaner. My hubs and calipers were VERY rusted due to the northern climate. So, I used a power sander with 80 grit automotive sandpaper to get all the rust off. I also hand sanded the hard-to-reach spots. After that, I used 150 and 400 grit to smooth it out. Then, I carefully taped off all the areas I didn't want sprayed. Taping took the longest. Then, I sprayed the hubs and calipers with good caliper paint. No primer. Caliper paint is designed to stick under hot temperatures so primer is not needed. I painted them with about 10 very light coats. I screwed up a couple times and just let the paint dry and then sanded down the run. Before the last coat, I sanded with 1500 grit sandpaper. Then, I sprayed a final light coat. Took a full weekend with all the coats because I only jacked one wheel at a time but I did lots of other stuff inbetween coats. My thanks go out to NEVERSTOP for the helpful tips on painting these.

I taped everything but the calipers and hubs. Painting the rotors would be stupid.

I love the silver paint. You always see red, but that looks nice. Exspecially with the rims.
