My Neon front strut bar arrived Saturday. It looks like I will have to drill at least two new holes. What's the easiest way to mark where to drill the holes? Also, anyone know the size of drill bit I'll need to make the holes the correct size?

QUOTE(keefer37 @ Dec 20, 2004 - 12:15 PM) What's the easiest way to mark where to drill the holes? Also, anyone know the size of drill bit I'll need to make the holes the correct size? I made a template for mine. I think that's the easiest way to do so. Attach the template to the bottom where it's flat against the steel, then proceed to drill your holes. I had a friend take it to his company and precision drilled the holes. The 2 holes that needed to be redrilled I made a 7/16 th diameter. Template fit perfectly. |

I still haven't had the chance to drill holes in my Neon front strut tower bar. I've got the drill bit I need, but need to get the right bits for my torque wrench. I need to figure out the size and then also the correct torque for when I put it on. Anyone know these off the top of their heads?

i dont think that there is a correct torque that the strut bar needs to be put on. (correct me if im wrong) when i installed my springs with my friend (toyota mechanic) we just put it on really tight.
