just got my new front brakes today. and am going to install them. just wondering what is the best method to paint the calipers. figured it would be best to do it now while i have easy access to them. is there any brand of caliper paint better than others? what do you all think? i want them blue!
thanks guys for our help.

i use the duplicolor caliper painting kit. It comes with a bursh, paint etc to mask off the areas you want, plus its got a brush so you can paint it evenly and dont have to worry about any drips or runs. Mine came out pretty good

I dont sugest using any spray can ones though, they tend to chip and fade. I did my fronts originaly with a spray can, they lasted 2 years but looked like crap.

I jused motor-paint / heat resistant paint!

The method I used;

A steel-brush to brush off the worst crap, and get it neat and clean.
Washed with silicone-remover, it oxidates and don't leave any fat or particles messing with the paint.
Sprayed it into a small cup, and jused a brush. Then I didn't have to mask things of, and worry about getting paint in my vital brake-parts!

I think it came out nice! Did a real clean touch to the car smile.gif
