I started converting the 96 stock clear turns to fit my 94. Its not as easy as it looks. The cutting wasn't too bad, its getting the clear to match up with the black housing so it doesn't look like crap thats the hard part. It doesn't look bad from far away, but up close you can tell where I painted the inside edges to get rid of the clear.

I still have to chrome the inside and seal it, but thats about all I have left.

So far total time 2 hours. 130-330pm Est

Ill try to get pics of it b4 its finished so that everyone can give their opinions. Even with the not so good up close edges, it looks tons better than the Amber.

Jeremy

Oh yeah, Im going to buy that black silicone sticky stuff...anyone know what its called?

Cool! Let us know how it turns out...I'm thinking of just molding some different turn signals into my front bumper, but I'm not sure if I want to do that yet.

Im not going to seal it up today. Tomorrow I am going to use my buds camera to take pictures. I didn't paint the inside chrome and it kinda has that smoked look to it since its all black. I will have pics tomorrow.
Oh and Its called black silicone... I bought some today.

Oh and I know the right side will look tons better than the left side. Damn first time DIY projects...lol

Looks way better than the amber did. It might have been easier to get some lexan and cut it to fit the 94 housing so it would fit the hole better, but yours is original and on the whole looks really nice. Good job. smile.gif

Im going to do the other side tomorrow, but not seal it off.... I think that leaving the housing not all chrome makes it look like they are kinda hidden...Ill post up pics friday of both sides completed

What is the point of doing this? You still have to buy the clear turns from pro car parts, why not just use the 96+ clear turn if you are going to do this? They fit just the same and the chrome part is actually chrome not silver, IMO it looks way better.

96-99 do not fit 94-95 and they do not make clears for 94-95 model years.

If I could just buy some, I would, but they simply just don't exist. You should know this since you have a 95

The 96-99 will fit in the 94-95 holes for turns. You just have to modify the brackets.

I know because I have them. But I found that 93 clear turns look better, check out my pf I have pics.

I didnt like the 96+ ones because of the shape, I guess you could round off the clear part and paint the casing black or to match your car. But I tried to keep the professional made casing because of the better looking chrome.

the 96+ stock housing doesn't fit in the 94-95. Its a different shape. If it did fit, everyone would have bought the clear turns from procarparts.com by now

anyone else agree? b/c I was under the impression that they don't fit at all

They do fit, I had them in for a month. You do have to do some modifying to the housing but its nothing major took 5 minutes with a dremmel. The reason I took them off is they look ghetto because the shape of the signal(not rounded like the the 94-95) doesn't look good IMO.

Edit: Try it you have the 96+clear turns right? that is where you are getting the lenses from right?

procarparts doesn't offer clear turns for 94-95, they have side sigs but not turns.

I did try the 96, but they just didn't fit the hole correctly, oh well the project is over and done with. Pics are in my Profile.

Rjb, if I decide to switch to the 93, they look more our shape, you'll have to tell me what you had to do to modify them

No problem it's easy, it will take about an hour to modify both turns.
