Keep it coming people. This is really interesting. Even I'm considering building a 5S now (nitrous built, hehee) and I hate the 5S.

It's be neat to see some built 5S's out performening 3s's

so im gunna get there block with 8.5-1 comp ratio. do a metal camry head gasket.
shimless s2000 retainers for the valve springs. probly get larger than 360 injectors and use a resistor pack. get a walbro pump. and up the boost to say 12.

You can get 440's I think they are a plug in also itchy. I know there is a guy in MD with a few MR-2's turbo and not that can hook you up. He's is on the 2 board.

The turbonetics is a T3 flange if I read right. Gives us two options. Either the 3SGTE manifold with the Ct26 or the turbonetics with the T3 Hybrid. I'm not sure I'd want the kind of power, but ya never know.

I did some math yesterday. The average CT26 turbo on a 5S would put it near 200 crank HP. Thats a 65% increase over stock. I'm wondering if the same power percentage stayed, then if we all built 200 N/A crank HP cars, and the turbo did its 65%... we'd all have 307HP cars. HELLO SUPRA. My dreams of a 5S fast Celica arn't too far away.

Thats pretty accurate- but what I'm saying is, that 5sfe turbo T3 exhaust manifold is the exact same as a 3sgte T3 exhaust manifold, you dont have to go looking for a 5sfe specific one; just say HELLLOO to a variety of 3sgte aftermarket manifolds.

But the Turbonetics one is what I'd probably get; another place has them for sale too

no your right... which is nice because there is more options now. I really dont want a stock 3SGTE manifold because they look like crapola. But an aftermarket one is pretty.

I agree, sticky would be great...

JEEZ those headers are expensive. My whole short block is cheaper than that! Do you have pictures of your turbo manifold polished. I figure if we all have beautiful chromed polished powdercoated engines, our headers shouldn't look like they came off a 10 year old car. I'd like to see what you've done with yours. biggrin.gif
