10 g's is the quote i got too..but thats cuz the way id have it done it would be done so that if my car broke down all u gotta do is plug in a diagnostic and u would know exactly what was wrong. a lil too expensive so ill stick with supercharging

basically what u get is the engine and u work from the block out or ur gonna have all kinds of problems. u can put it in for 4 g's but you havent rebuilt the motor yet, you havent put the bigger turbo on it, u havent intercooler etc

10Gs? To wire it up to OBDII?

OBD II gets its information from the ECU, so as long as the wiring is done right, you have OBDII anyway Natalie.

Turbo, intercooler, new manifold, etc will run an extra 2Gs roughly

So, a really NICE 3sgte setup is about 6 thousand with labor, 4500 without

Sure, if you wanted them to be. You can get a greddy intercooler for 300 dollars off ebay, or 1000 dollars new; or a no name for 400 dollars new; you can spend 2000 dollars on a sparco or whatnot. But guess what?

They're the exact same; the efficiency difference is about 1%; and unless you're pushing 700 hp through the turbo, it doens't matter, so dont waste your money

I think what Natalie's saying though is that her dad will make that swap absolutely perfect for $10,000. You should see her bro's Supra that he's swapping a 7M-GTE into right now...it's amazing!

best is to get a custom ic, then you can specify the inlets size position etc

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

That's really good to hear Jay. I hope it all works out for you and that you don't endure the pain that I went through.

You all missed me? Really? LOL. I suck!

As for my car, I got it back from the body shop two weeks ago. I've been too busy (working 50 hours a week now), which is why I haven't been around much. I should have some time this weekend to take pics of my car with the Varis kit on.

Good luck with the swap Jay and everyone else who's doing it.
