will the gt4 hood and bumber add any kind of significant weight... are my stock hood and bumber lighter or heavier than the gt4's???

my car feels like a cow, i wanna lighten it up , not make it heavier...

the gt4 hood is MUCH lighter than the st-204 hood..just guessing, i'd say at least twice as light.
the bumper im not sure, but that wont be signifigant.

Judging from my stock bumper and the gt-4 one, the gt-4 bumper is thicker and slightly heavier. But it's not a huge difference, also the fog's will make it heavier to.

mina...i have the gt-4 parts..so i know from comparison..einhander is right about the bumper and fogs too...the factory fogs are heavy for what they are..lol, but i think the hood would more than compensate for the extra weight.. wink.gif

Yea, i don't have the hood yet, so i can't compare over all. But then again mina aren't you the one pushing like 292whp or something? If i was hitting that i'd want a little more weight over the front wheels.

The hood is lighter without a doubt, and cutting down the 5mph bumper to fit the bumper cover, shaves a tiny bit of weight (aluminum).

Doesn't matter. None of the hoods they make are real CF, they're just fiberglass w/ C/F overlay.

Mina

wouldn't more weight on the front end make the car stick better? lighter would make it break loose a lot easier i would think...just from a physics standpoint...

I was thinking the same thing john... if you want traction you want MORE weight.

honestly i havent drove my car in forever... give me a week or two for it to come out the shop and be broken in ... and ill tell you wuzup...

i think i want lower weight for acceleration purposes , not traction... my power @ less weight= easy catching up
