a ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Hey guys sorry for laughing but you are having arguments about your ST celis times and i find it hilarious. Well i thought i would share this with you. Stock 1/4 mile for the GT4 is 14sec flat. We don't have race tracks at my country but i think my JDM GT4 with some weight reduction, 100 ron fuel and my Apexi exhaust (that i got from neverstop and finally put on yesterday) i am sure i must run about low 13s atleast.

There's this lovely thing called below and above Sea level...You will get Faster times on the east coast. Ask anyone who has ran their car at the Epping Dragstrip in NH and then Ask that same person what their time was in Cali..BIG diff.
Also, I was having 89Mph 1/4 Miles.

those times I gave were in Florida. Thats on the east coast you know.

Next you'll be saying you have 20.5" rims because you needed the traction to beat your friends viper in the twisties.

EDIT: Shid knows what he is talking about. I wouldn't try to "internet battle" or whatever the kids call it on him. Sea level...1 sec difference. heh

Oh no, it's a GT4 ricer! Honestly, that exhuast added a few hp I'm sure. And would you strip out to make it lighter? I'll go on a guess, hatch, rear seats? 100oct fuel? It's all fine and dandy and will kick you some more kick, but a whole second off? Come on, you own a GT4, you should know better

def, when does your track open? (time) It looks like it's 2 or 3 in that pic. My track only opens around 5:30. Nice gold touch too on the wheels

Haha, I wish. My local strip (hosts NHRA runs too) is only open on Tuesday 5:30-11:30. Sometimes Friday night.

I just checked my timing, and it was 6 degrees retarted. So I advanced her to a nice 10 degrees where she should be. Feels better. Maybe I'll run tommarow night and see if I can break 16.7

firstly i started the post by saying that thereisn't an official track in my country so you can understand that 1/4 miles ain't even my thing. I can't understand why you are so quick to call me a ricer. low 13s from flat 14 is less than a sec but thats not the point. making it lighter is standard practice isn't it.I made it lighter to save on registration fees (remove passenger seat and replaced it with just a foam seat and i put on some very light 17's) and the car was noticeably faster.

before you call someone a ricer you could firstly check the times some gt4s are making.

I ran a 10.55 in the 1/8 with exhaust and intake in my 180,000 mile st

Is that pretty good or do I suck at driving?

neo, I dont doubt for a second GT4's can be quick. The 3s is a great engine. But how weight do you honestly think you saved by pulling out backseats and lighter wheels. I'll give ya 50-75. They say 100lbs in .01 secs in the quarter mile. You're telling me you can feel that?

Nitrous isnt hooked up yet, but once I get get koni''s paid off, I can afford to have my bottle filled.

You know - all of you know-it-alls suck. I personally believe that those times are possible even in an ST. Your skill as a driver can make our "slow" cars much faster than they would be with a driver with no skill. When I posted my happiness with my new intake everybody laughed and joked because I could actually feel a significant increase in performance (note: I did not say increase in HP or Torque - I said performance). Everyone said "it just sounds faster...Ha Ha Ha...Blah Blah Blah". I know for a fact my car is much faster than it was stock and it has everything to do with the parts I have put on it and the fine tuning I have done to my engine. Another thing, when I posted how I pulled on a turbo Del Sol three lights in a row - nobody believed it. Everybody acted like that wasn't possible. First off I stated in my first post that I knew it was not v-tech and that it was a cheap ass turbo kit that they put on there and the guy could not shift for ****. When you add the fact that my car ('GT Manual w/ 50k miles and lightly modified) was being driven by someone who has owned 5 Celicas in a row with a Supra thrown in there (me) you guys should be able to see that I know my car better than some 18 year old with a POS 10year+ Honda who's been driving for what 2 years tops? That makes more difference than all the fancy intercooler setup and whatever you could buy. The last point I will make is that some cars seem to be lemons and every once in a while you will get a car that is the opposite extreme. Some cars just are better put together than some that were produced on the exact same assembly line. That can also have a big effect on a cars ability to out perform cars that should be faster.
So - if his car was an anti-lemon and he has some experience racing his car and he has put some of those expensive performance parts on that "just improve the sound" then maybe he can out perform what is expected of him. Maybe you people should instead start asking yourself why is my car so slow - instead of claiming all ST's are as slow as your ST.

BTW - if our cars are so slow and there is nothing we can do to change that except swap in a 3S-GTE then everyone on here without a 3S is a complete moron for wasting the kind of money we all do on a car that will always be "slow". Personally - I'm not an idiot but I think some of you are.

No, I still think you're an idiot, and full of it. Just get a time slip, and you'll all leave you alone. Hell, break out a time slip and you can even **** my sister
