i have two type R 12s and i have two 1000 watt amps to push them.
the subs are dual 2 omh and the amps are 2 ohm stable.
but i had the subs runin at 1 ohm. the amps got so hot but didnt quit.
now the subs are running at 4 ohms and they love it. its awesome.

9 time out of 10 if you blow your amp it's because you're not hooking it up right
and if it's gone for more than 4 weeks with a service plan then they should be giving you another one, so if it's been 4 week and nothing go there and talk with the lead technician.

oh by the way.. Its not my fault. I used to work at bestbuy for 2 years. I know what im doing, also I have reran the wires thinking it may have been cut of somthing cuase it to ground out, but the amps just junk. Also with the amp being at service, bestbuy has just gotten really ****ty.. The peps know me there even so they hurry it up.. but for some reason last time they sent it to rockford, cause somethign blew they couldnt fix or somthing like that. Also I tried to get a new one, but sence i worked there, I had it swapped out a while back. .. Also I dont thinki even want my subs any more. There just to heavy an im kinda out of the to much bass, Im gunna set off alarms an blow my ears.. an like my other car i had them in, break the rear view mirror, blow the back window .. well crack it.. also have to re weather strip an install the window.. .. not worth it.. lol
