Hi,
I was just wondering what's the difference between a Celica ST and a Celica STX. I have been looking for a celica and I found a red STX in town that has some front bumper damage. What is the difference between the ST and the STX??

Yes, I tried searching for "STX" and it said i had to have words over 4 letters, so when i tried searching "Celica STX" it never finished searching and I got mad and quit.

Also, is it worth paying more to get a GT?? I was planning on saving up for the 3S-GTE swap and not doing any upgrades to the car, but I was wondering if the ST's are still fun to drive.. even though they have less hp..

Thanks,
Rob A.

STX is like the fully loaded version, kinda on the rare side.

STX's were dealer made special editions, not factory models. All that they consistantly share are the STX decals on the sides. If you plan on doing a 3S swap it is very advisable to get a GT over an ST, because ST's have A-series motor mounts, whereas GT's have S-series motor mounts (gt sotck is a 5S-FE), in turn saving you money and extra work down the road...

Worth it for the GT, especially if you're going 3sgte swap; 4 wheel caliper brakes, matching motor mounts, you can use the tranny, the front end looks better, comes with wheels instead of hubcaps.

Ok First off, The front is the exact same.. Also depending on how cheap it is get it.. for the swap, all you have to do is get engine mounts.. so get a clips.. not a big deal.

Look, if you're BUYING a car, get the GT; if you already have an ST, then you go through the pain of everything
