The answer to your first question is:
You can do a 7A-GE or 7A-GZE conversion using a 7A-FE and an 4A-GZE.
It's basically a 7A bottom and 4A-GE 16V head.
For more information and details take a look at this link http://www.corollaperformance.com/Mods/Eng...ngine/7AGE.html.

um, how about not. unless you want to spend about 6-8 grand on a 7age, don't do it. you have 3 options.

7age - will net you about 120 HP at the crank
7agze - probably about 150, but at great expense
7agte - really the only way to go, but very very $$.

to run a 7agze or 7agte, you will need a standalone EMS (1.5-3K), custom forged rods (about 1K), custom alternator bracket, custom a/c bracket, you will loose power steering, and that's not even scratching the surface.

practically, unless you have a 7afe and 4agze just laying around to play with, don't do it. the guys who are discussed in that article had engines laying around to use. if you know what you are doing this swap will take about 2 weeks of solid work to do. can you really go without your daily driver for that long?

As to the 4age question, you can use pistons and rings for a 4age in a 7afe block. that's about it.
