 ST converted to GT all wheel disk, I know its been done so help me out |

I know this has to have been done before I am just wondering what the price and time needed to take my ST calipers and rotors move them to the back and get some GT rotors and calipers for the front. I am very anxious to do this. Help me out

shouldn'ttake you too long to do the swap. Took me prolly 6 hours total. The hardest part is finding the parts for a cheap price.. Theres a HOW TO in the how to section Jeremy EDIT:

Why would you want to move your st calipers to the back and put gt's in the front? Why not just put the gt's in the rear, it would be a lot less trouble. You going to have to get the gt rear disc setup off a gt anyway.

You cannot move your ST front rotors and calipers to the rear. Not without removing your parking brake and having to do some fabrication. Like everyone's saying; best to use GT brakes, you won't have to worry about something being dangerous and you can put GT front brakes on your ST at the same time you do the rear if you like.

dont all you need is the caliper and rotors?? what is the bake plate??

you need new brake lines brake plate rotors calipers and a bigger master cylinder for the complete swap

For the fronts... just the rotors and calipers with all of the associated lines. The rear, you'll need the whole assembly (ebrake cables, brake lines, backing plate, rotor, etc...) Also, I believe (after a bit of research) that the GT and ST use the same proportioning valve... so either one should work just the same. -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I did it. It was quick and easy.
And NO, you don't need to get a new master cylinder. The ST will work fine. They use the same one, nothing is different. |

Disc brakes look better... ;] Actually... overall braking performance will increase because disc brakes cool much faster than drums... although most people here do it for the sake of looks... -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"

so if you buy set of 4 rotors online then its for a gt, meaning if you have st and have done the rear disc conversion, you must do the front conversion to get all 4 of the rotors to fit?

you would need teh GT front calipers, (maybe)backing plate adn pads to go along with the rotors
