I'm about to start looking for a used tranny for my auto to manual conversion. What should I look for when I go look at them. I figure low mileage is good, no water in them of course, what else?

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

ask about how it shifts into gear, what kinda clutch was used on it, good synchros, stuff like that.

Mileage is a biggie 2, but my 5sfe tranny has 190,000 and shifts pretty smoth.

Well the one I'm looking at is from some guy in ohio for $200 and has 70k miles on it.

Also is there a difference between the auto flywheel and the manual flywheel?
