What about these supposed 'universal' kits you see floating around. How could they get away with that?

It's probly just a turbo with some pipes and cupplings. Nothing that would actually get you turboed, just get you in the right dirrection.

I had a link in my favorites to some Burien Toyota website that apparently had some turbo kit for the 7afe , it cost like $2,200 and it came with everything but i lost the link mad.gif is this true and what else do you need to get that running if you did buy it? besides the install

the burien turbo kit is not for the 7afe, it is for the 5sfe

go to coomer's "feasible engine swaps" post, and there is a part about turbos....he has the link to the 5sfe kit from burien, and a link to some other site with **** you need to do a 7afe, but not a kit. i assume its not all the **** you need as well, but maybe...hope that clears things up. mark.

Just find someone with a ST that did a turbo install and ask them what all they needed and then just compair that to a kit that you find. Might end up saving money that way.
