And DJMC, no... no it wouldn't. The 7th gen is completely different from the 6th gen. You'd be better off going to a Civic door. But why do you ask. The 7th gen lambo doors are just as expensive, and this kit is MADE for our 6th gens. Easy bolt ons are nice. I'll also look into that floor idea for you. I dont think I'd have any companies make anything unless there was enough interest.

Actually now that I think of it, question for all of ya.

Besides the obvious vertical doors, are there any other products that I can look into for a group buy as well.  Something easy.  I'm going to try contacting Toyota for OEM parts (like projectors, etc) and see where they are at.  Name some stuff that you'll want people. smile.gif

-Ti

projectors would be nice

I think so too, however I will warn everyone that I'm not sure the markup in Toyota products. As for my dealership, the mark up in a product is minimal, like 10%, but perhaps Toyo is different. I'm definately checking this out as well.

If referring to me, go by Ti. Turbo is alright, but its too easy to confuse with turbo's and whatnot. The number differences are easy. 45 and 100 are degrees. Meaning, the blue car with lambo doors in this thread has 45. 45* from the ground. 100* is just a larger hinge that will put the door at a max of 100 degrees to the ground. Moreorless, just slightly over straight up and down. Which is nice if that car is a daily driver. The 45 degree kit is cool and still hits up the style points, but isn't really worthwhile if your 6 foot tall.

Hey Ti, Can you make a sticky or something where only the pics of the product and some answers to our queries is on the thread? it will prevent this thread from getting very big and us going through each page to see if something was answer. Or you could prepare an email page with all the information and pics for everyone interested.

DJspike: The kit includes wire extenders
Neoklis: As soon as I hear what the pricing and what not is, I'll make a new topic.

UPDATE m00t!!:

As of Wednesday at 5:00pm, I'm official licensed. The name of the company is Shift MotorSports, LLC. I've already contacted ExtremeDoors.com, along with Matrix Racing (responsible for all those wonderful Altezza tails you see) and a couple of connections in Japan. I've got a friend there now that owns a car parts exporting business thats willing to work with me as a wholesaler. Meaning, I might be able to get those wonderful JDM parts off some off the cars that run through the auction. My list to him is:

Toyota Celica Projector Lows
Toyota Celica Clear Highs
Toyota Celica 2nd Gen Tails
Toyota Curren Tails
Toyota 6th Gen Power Folding Mirrors
Toyota GT4 Spoiler Raiser Blocks

He goes on saturdays (fridays here in USA) and will let me know pricing of the objects as well as availability. I also asked him to see if he can get new, as I'd love to dig myself deep with G-Corp, C-One, Gang's Jail, Hiro, and Varis. But back to the lambo door update: you'll hear something from me by Monday at the latest.

Hows the 100* thing turning out?

well, chances are I'm gonna buy one kit. And that person is gonna be a brave person. Because that person is gonna be the test and show car for my business. Chances are i'm gonna ask Rob7796 if he just wants the 100* conversion at my cost so I have pictures. He's already installed the 45* kit, so it'll be much easier this way. Again, UPDATES MONDAY!

I've called him throughout the day today but got nothing but voicemail. I've left a message and I will email him when I get home in a hour. As soon as I here something, I'll let everyone know. Closer and Closer. And to think I started this topic 2 and 1/2 monthes ago.

-Ti

If you'd like to read a little more about the business, I wrote a little topic in the OT entitled "Help with Business"
