Fantastic Video....
What i noticed as an EX-WRX driver and now GT-4 driver is that Subaru its very powerful at low-rpms but at high rpms, close to 5000 are dead.Subarus are not heavy cars and they have the best lounch in my opinion. Now the GT-4 has excellent lounch(its almost like subarus) but it keeps pushing above 6000+!!!!!and if you notice the race you will see exactly what i`m talking about.I`m sure that both of cars in the race have modifications but they are running on stock turbos. BTW my WRX after 2 months of hard driving the 3rd rod was RIP and my GT-4 after 18 months of hard driving its like steel(TOUCH WOOD) |

yes exactly if you watch the boost gauge on my wrx at 3krpm its at 1 bar/14.7psi then at 5krpm, it drops to .7 bar, then by 6krpm its at .5 bar and redline is at 7k for a turbo car, a stock wrx doesnt have great top end power. thats why an ecu upgrade helps so much, it stops that boost drop off, which for me, when i get my UTEC, will result in 100 more hp AT THE WHEELS at redline i have all the parts for the stage 3 setup, the fmic is on the way, and utec will come in a month or so. my friends said to get the utec first, since it would give huge gains with the stage 2 maps, but i wanted to eliminate heatsoak, plus the TXS fmic kit was on sale from $1500 to $999!(utec is $1000) -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

I have smoked many a SRT4, DSM AWD Turbos, and various other AWD Turbos. Only one I haven't beaten was a stock STi...and for obvious reasons. I only run a 5.0 0-60 at the moment in my Rex. I'd love to pair up against a GT-4 someday. Would be fun, win or lose.
EDIT I am also getting a UTEC and FMIC soon to run stage 3. So me and sccelica's cars will be similar. This post has been edited by snadman: Sep 9, 2004 - 8:57 PM -------------------- 95 Toyota Celica GT
