How many miles are on your car? How is your current ride? If your ride is kind of rough, you may want to replace your struts and shocks.

I have a similar question. I'm looking the replace my springs to drop my 95 ST a little. I've read some posts saying that you need to replace the struts at the same time or you'll eventually blow them out. And then some say the KYB GR-2 is basically the same as the stock OEM strut. My Celica has only 45K miles, so should I really replace the struts? Given that the engine is stock, trans is auto, I'm not racing this car around town! wink.gif Thanks for the advice!

Me too lol try over 160k ekkk *embarassed*

but back to the topic lol

replacing shocks and struts is a good idea

as for the lowering springs set up i remeber seeing a thread about what kind of setup/combonations make a what kind of ride. Try a search im sure ull find it. But from what ive gathered sport lines seem to be popular

It depends on what kinda of money you wanna drop.. Im guessing sence your trying not to replacr them, you dont wanna spend to much. I would say replace them.. you already going to have them apart.. also your stock would will most likely get worne really fast.. witch then will give you a bouncey ride.. If your looking to keep the budget down.. Go with some sportlines- springs . then some kyb's .. You can get the whole set-up for 400 bucks.. Then do it your self. very easy , and then you'll have a nice sporty ride and a better look.
