i put the wires right through the steering wheel opening in the firewall. it was the easiest way b/c you don't have to do any drilling. for the fuse, i just used some double sided tape and stuck it on the side wall in the engine bay.
im using pilot fogs. |

I led the wires from the battery right thru my driver's side fender and then removed the vent inside the car and led that down to a little plastic removeable rectangle where I cut and put in a switch. It works great because the wires are all hidden. One thing to keep in mind is to find a good ground.

There is a ground for the fog lights themself and i fitted them rite underneath the two screws that hold the radiator up. Just slide them right in and tighten the blots. There is a screw inside the vent thing that I slid the ground for the switch. If you want, I could take pictures when I have the time.

I was looking at some other instructions to wire fogs, they had a diagram with the fogs inline with a fuse and a relay? what fuse, and what relay would be used?

I'm also installing a set of fog lights on my car, and found this picture online of a standard wiring diagram for fogs/driving lights. Now, for the "Ignition Power Source" is it possible to run this wire to the power relay for the parking lights, so that the fogs are only on when the parking lights are? I'm pretty sure this can be done, but does anyone know which wire I would splice it into? I'm having trouble locating the parking lamp relay. Any help from someone would be great! Thanks.

Any chance you could tell me where to find it under the instrument panel? Which colors, etc? I'm sure I could figure out where its at, but not distinguish between pos. and neg. Thanks.

if you are asking me you can just unscrew ur turn signal. buy an auto light tester and figure out which wire it is. non green wire is the ground and one of the green wires is the constant pos when the paking lights are on. the other is the blinker.
splice the pos from the fog to the pos of the parking light. then, splice the ground for the fog to the ground of the parking light. this should take you 20 mins three wires two green and the other is the ground. No need for a switch -------------------- ![]() I will return one day. |
