Rant

I just really noticed how many of you guys are in NC, i talked to a guy that owns a red celica convert. at my school, and there's 2 more 6th generation celica's at my school, and a 5th generation gts, and a 7th generation GT all at my school. i think there starting to get popular in the past couple of weeks, cause all 3 of the 6th gen. were bought in the past couple months cause how they looked, lol, and the guy w/ the vert. said he was sad that its so slow, but i told him about the site, so he might join, but he said he's not that into it.

also today was an embarresing day for 6th gen's. there's a whole lot of trans am's and z28's / SS 's at my school, and today a kid that drives a white celica, accually tried to race a black Camaro Z28 w/ LS-1 from a stop light to stop light (me and my friend ted were in his old ass buick, lol, behind the z28 at the stop light), and they took off at the light and the celica had no chance at all, and i tried to ask him why he would even try to race it, and he got pissed at me.....

End Rant

I see a few around NC, but thats one of the things i love about our cars... you don't see them everywhere. I love having a unique car that most people don't know what it is until I tell them biggrin.gif

it seems like i've seen alot more in the past about month (maybe cause celica's and mr2's are being discontued, but i doubt it)... there is now 2 Red Celica Converts at my school, a white hatchback, and a wierd lookin blue-ish colored hatchback (i think its just faded weird)

I think it's more so because of the general price drop, When i first picked my celica up two years ago i had a very hard time finding one, and when i did they were around 7,500-9,000 for a descent mileage car, now you can get them as low as 3000. And a lot of the original owners of the 97-99 cars are trading for new cars as well, which brings more to the market.
