i wanna ask the people who did a engine swap, expecially the people that's not 3S. Lets say you swapped a 4AGE or something like that (a engine that has a different redline then ours). If the redline goes higher on that engine then our stock ones, can the tacho go pass the celi redline without harming the engine?

My engine has seen 8,000 RPM on the stock tach and it's fine. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

Nothing bad will happen. The only thing that can happen is that IF, and I mean IF you were to max out your tach, it will just go up to 8 or 9 G's and thats it. ( I dont remember how far our tachs can reach)
In this case, you would just have to buy a tach that reaches futher like 10,000 or so. |

Our USDM tachs can reach 8,000, which is exactly where I hit fuel cut, so it works fine for me. Some of the JDM tachs can reach 9,000 though. Below are a couple pics of John's JDM tachometer which will go until 9,000. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
