I don't think you understand how hard it was for most to make it. I guess Philly wasnt nearly as bad, but up here in Northwest Jersey we got hit really hard. As for me not being able to make it, Route 80 was shut down east and westbound for about 5 hours due to a rockslide. Route 46, which I live a mile from, was closed because the Delaware River was going over its banks and houses were underwater.....and I woke up at 5am just to empty our basement of runoff water....not to mention the fact that the town I live in was evacuated. Only I was fortunate enough to live far enough away from the flood area that we only had minor water damage and didnt loose our entire house like some people did along the Delaware. But we just got our power back up last night, so this is the first time I've been online the past 3 days. So hopefully that gives you some idea of what my situation was like that day....I'm sure I wasnt alone either. I mean, I love Celicas and would have loved to go, but unfortunately certain types of unexpected emergencies like that call for putting my interest in cars on hold. When was 80 closed down ? I took it saturday morning everything seemed fine.
rain did suck but the two 3sgte's made up for it. --------------------  I will return one day. |

Just outside the Delaware Water Gap they closed down Rt. 80 because of a huge rockslide. You couldnt go east or westbound out by me because it was totally shut down, and traffic was backed up for miles a few minutes from my house. Too bad for the weather though....I had a friend of mine coming down with me and everything, but the weather situation was too dangerous, not to mention that alot of roads in my area were shut down due to flooding or mudslides/rockslides. So whens the next meet going to be?? Third times a charm, I guess.
