I went to the track with my buddies and our girls and I watched some cars racing!I saw a cavalier run 17's and I saw a dodge neon srt run 14's constant.Than this guy from Toronto I met was kicking everybodys ass all day long he had the same car, body kit, and he was running a 1st gen 3sgte motor stock with the fmic and running at 20psi boost on a ct26 stock turbo with a electronic boost controler. And he ran 13.1 sec.Et's were 2.2 steady all day long! And I have more done to mine than his so Im woundering what my car will run in the 1/4 mile? Can somebody go to my topic title 1st gen swap into a 94 gts and read my mods and tell me a rough idea of what I should be running?

I didnt think so either untill I saw it my self! His boost controler ads more pressure to the waste gate spring so it wont open and his turbo just keeps building boost untill his boost controller sets it at 20 before it pops off!

are you sure dude? 20psi is a lot... I just don't see the ct26 doing that without nearly melting... not to mention the stock motor will blow up cause the pistons can't take more than 15 or so psi... -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"

dude i saw a forum and dyno sheets where some dumbass honda guy in a intergra ran 27 psi on stock internals. and all he doen since is 12psi. there are dumb people out there.
ill find the article -------------------- Former: 96 GT 5 speed (i/p/e) Fate- rear ended by mack truck

The motor is good for 20psi boost as long as you dont do it often!!As long as you can keep the waste gate closed your turbo will keep building boost! It's not an everyday thing just at the track.I think he keeps it at 12psi usually.

20psi is stupid on a stock ct26 turbo the air charge would be so hot that detonation would be unavoidable and his boost controller probably works the same as every other boost controler, nothing special about it, just that the guy is running it way too hard. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

It all depends on your map sensors. When you get your car on a dyno they check your peak horse power and they check were your car starts to loose power.then at the max peak horse they check your fuel map and depending on your maps you might still be able to give it more juice and some times you loose power. It also depends on your compressor wheel. Now not all boost controllers are created equal!!! So you can throw that theory right out the window. As long as your car keeps building boost with steady fuel there will be no detonation because your car wont have the chance to go lean,as long as everything is done right!

Not when you refer to stock components... -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"
