the first generation 3s-gte's usually run about 200 hp

the second about 225 hp

and the thrid about 250 hp

the wiring is much more complicated than the old school cars.

Not to mention the 3rd gen is just 3 hp less and the swap has been done and the engine is cheaper. It'd be stupid to spend the time and money finding and buying that engine and then trying to figure out how to swap it.

depends on WHY your doing it. If you want that amount of power with LESS of a hassle do the 3rd Gen swap, its by no means easy tho. If you want sufficient power do the 2nd Gen, theres more than enough experienced people who have done it ~75.

For real, with that engine setup, you'll want as much parts as possible cuz that Caldina is not easy to find let alone parts.
