hi guys, i searched alittle but i had a couple of questions. i bought a ct-26 off a supra the threw a rod bearing, and i am wondering if it will be good for the 7afe. i have everything but the manifold and turbo. i am having a manifold made for me and have to decide on the turbo i want to use. so i need to know if it will work. it seems that people like to use a t3 or t3-t4. Also i want to buy a turbo timer. i was thinkin an HKS unit but i wasnt sure what harness i need (seems to be car specific) and how hard they are to wire in. any help will be greatly appreciated.

The supra CT26 is different from the 3sgte's CT26 (it's larger); but overall, it'd still be fine for a 7afe

They dont make harnesses for cars that dont have turbo, u'll need to hardwire w/e timer u get.

Also the supra CT26 will have a little slower spool up. It is a larger single entry turbo, whereas the celica and mr2 ct26's are twin entry, which are made for a smaller displacement engine.

go with T3. Its small, gets fast spool and etc and etc...
About timer, get the Apexi, or Greddy. Easy to install and etc. and etc. -------------------- Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...

I had this problem also, my alarm wouldnt go on because the car was running. I had to disengage the ignition wire from the alarm, so that the alarm doesnt know that the car is running. This makes the alarm less effective tho because if you broke into the car and the alarm was sounding, you couldnt start it, now you can. But i've increased the sensitivity of the alarm, a lil too much now since it'll beep while the car is running.

yeah...i noticed viper has some alarms with turbo timers... how well do they work tho? i know aftermarket timers have lots of safety features and let you disable the timer incase of emergency.

Viper's pretty top notch, you really can't go wrong; I've met a couple people with Viper alarms and turbo timers, and they've reported no problems. It alarms; the turbo times down. |

Well only when the alarm is activated. Also, the TT will stop if the ebrake is lowered, shutting off the car. And on the Apexi you just move the button to the left or right and it'll stop the countdown. And I have a Viper, but its an older model. -------------------- |
