I'm just curious as to whether anyone is using urethane motor/transmission mounts in their car. If so, what is the durometer hardness of your mounts? And how does the car feel while driving and how is the idle?

there are a set of urathene inserts, they take out the inner parts of the stock mount & insert the urathene insert. Thats the way I'm going when I swap the motor.

my neighbour made me mine out of urethane but I dont know the grade but the car does not shake and is very smooth but the motor barely rocks.I only did the front and back!Dont do the solid aluminum ones because you will have very bad idle. The car will shake like crazy!

i did myne from urethane. I did my front and rear mount... At first car was so shaky, that i could feel how the rod and piston is moving in my engine But after few days it was ok, but still idle is a bit hard, but after all im pretty happy.

That's not really true all the time. I have a solid steel front motor mount and my car only shakes when it's idling low...if the idle is 900 RPM or above the idle feels stock. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
