Well guys and gals. My lambo door coversion is almost complete! All I have to do is put my celi back together. The doors open great. I know a few of you were talking about getting the Extreme doors kit. Do it! It was pretty easy to put together. I only had to do a few modification to get them to open properly. All the wires going into the door had to be extended about 5 inches and I had to cut a notch out of the inside lip on the fenders. Other than that it was an easy bolt on project. I'll post pictures by Monday.

Yay, that's what I am talking about! PICS!!! I am curious to see how they look on hatchbacks, so I can make a decision then about getting a kit.

Yea I got the extreme doors kit. I ordered it from ebay before I knew everyone was trying to start a group buy on them. If I would have known that I would have waited to buy it.

I though that there was no cutting at all to do....that's what the auction says what kind of cutting you did? |

There is a lip on the fender between the fender and the door. You have to notch it out to make room for the door to open.

Man! If you show at Carlisle next year I can't wait to see that. Or maybe you can come to TEAS 3.0 (local very successful Toyota show). There's also rumors floating about of holding a massive meet in Ohio in 2005 for strictly Celicas since 2005 will be the last year. TPR will be organizing that big Ohio meet in 2005 so I'll keep everyone informed.
Get pics! -------------------- |

Well I've had the doors done for a couple days now and I have been having trouble with the wiring in the door getting in the way of the door opening and closing. I'll be working on it and I'll let you know what I had to do.

If you open up your doors you can see a section of the fender that is on the inside by your hindges. The lambo hindges are alot bigger and need room to swing open otherwise you are going to bend the hell out of your fenders. I don't have any pics of the actual inside of the fender. Just open your doors and look at the little bit of room between the fenders and the stock hindges. you'll understand. |
