You often get what you pay for, but not always. I got some yellow EuroDesignz bulbs for my low beams for $10 shipped I think on eBay and they are excellent! They run at stock wattage and give out a yellow light that lights up the road very well...almost as well as my PIAAs did.
I wouldn't use anything that doesn't run at stock wattage, even with upgraded wiring...I had upgraded wiring for a few months and still blew sets of high-wattage bulbs within a week or two maximum, probably from too much heat inside the headlight housing. PIAAs are excellent bulbs...I really want to try their yellow bulbs, but I'm short on cash and my bulbs I'm running now work very well. I did have some superwhite PIAAs in my low beams for a month or so and visibility was so awesome with them...my stock-bulb high beams didn't make much of a difference with the PIAAs already on in the low beams. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

i didnt get mine off ebay but i got some of those bulbs.
the ones that say they give you that HID look. To me all it does is make the light more white rather then yellow and perhaps a bit brighter. Other then that they are kinda what ever. If you need bulbs get them of if you jsut want them for that brighter whiter look. Other then that if you want the projector look save up for them. The ones i have are 85w for the low and 100w for the hi. Ive read taht with higher wattage you run the risk of melting ur harnness and other things. Ive drivin with mine on (hi beam on dark isolated areas too) and have had no problems. Plus if something does happen then ill be motivated to save up for projectors. Personally go down to a cheapo shop and c if you can pick them up as shipping as a bit much for low cost bulbs. Ive seen them down town at cell phone and nick nack shops as well as some of those vendors at the mall. |

It depends on the type of PIAA bulbs you get, but the ones I had(not sure what kind) gave off a bright white light, with no trace of blue. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
