That's cool...a shame that people have had to pay that much money to get work that they already paid for fixed, but at least the car is running well. smile.gif

Man I would say screw it if I had to pay that much money for a stupid harness to be done for me. I would just get a couple of wiring diagrams and do it myself!

I have a diagram from Mike, although its not 100% perfect (some colors are different, some plugs not needed) I managed to get it working basing 90% of it on the diagram.

hi i have a 94 st and i am swapping my engine to the ever so fast 3s-gte. i have a few questions. first of can anyone get me any type of wiring diagram for wiring this friggin thing up. second i was foolish and didnt buy a whole clip when i got my engine so i prob need to buy a new ecu and all that can anyone give me a detailed list of what im going to need. (all i have is an engine) and if there is anywhere besides a toyota dealer to get those parts. thanks

You've got a lot of work ahead of you. You'll need the AFM(if it's a ST185 3S-GTE), ignitor, coil, shift linkage cables, engine mounts, a compatible tranny, and some more stuff I'm sure. There have been many threads about this, and if you do a search, you'll find all that you need. smile.gif

dont forget an uncut harness and resistor packs!

this is why people always say to get a clip. there is all these little things that you will have a very hard time hunting them down.

LOL this is old but... No one ever answered rsos1's question about the interior plugs. Also, Supersprynt never posted the wiring diagrams he has. I'll be starting on the wiring soon and it'd be nice if someone just handed me the information. It probably won't happen but it can't hurt to ask so I'll bump this just for the hell of it. If no one has any usefull information there is no need to post. If no one posts the information no big deal cause I've got all the stock wiring diagrams to work from but I was just looking to save some time and get a head start with a little more information.

P.S. this should probably be moved to the Forced Induction section.

Hey Lagos has any one started the how to on this??  I remember there was a thread about this two months back.. you know anyhting?? or does anyone?

i started to make a how to a while back... there is a bunch of little things you need to do besides what the others are telling you

(3rd ecu plug, 4 interior plugs, rewiring the bottom half of the fuse box to work with the 3s harness, wiring the fuel pump relay, the resistor pack, alt wires, starter wire, tricky 3s plug needs rewired, 3s plugs...IG1 & IG2) there might be some other stuff i forget to mention.

i have been slowly taking pics and writing a how to but have not had time to finish it.

I think there have only been 3 people that have actually done their own harness ...Me, Qutar, and Dr. Tweak so that tells you right there it is probably the hardest thing about the swap!!! I have done about 10 swap harnesses and i have had problems with 3 due to the fact that i forgot to splice 1 wire on lagos and the same thing for def's. It is very easy to mix up wires. Just one mistake could make a 3s not start up or not run correct! That is why i will not post a how to until i make sure it is 110% perfect and easy for everyone to follow.
