Was wondering what would make my car sound more agressive or just overall better. '96 Celica ST. I heard it was CAI, but then I hear its from the Exhaust. Im not a car expert so I dont know what is the difference between the two.

the number one thing that makes a car sound good is... drum roll please... a good engine. but assuming that you want to stick with the 7a, the intake and exhaust will make your car sound pretty nice. but if you aren't doing both... what kind of sound are you looking for? the cai is more subtle and has a 'cooler' sound imo.

a very nice sound, one that would stand out, but not so loud that it sounds like a muscle car...more like a low purr, but a loud purr.

sounds like you are after an exhaust. I would slap a magnaflow on the end of your stock piping and be done with it. build a cai if you've got some cash left over. |

well magnaflow doesn't make a catback for our cars. if you aren't concerned with the minimal performance increase of a full exhaust and just want the sound I would get a universal magnaflow muffler and have it installed on your stock piping. it should give you the nice deep sound you are looking for. |

nice, I really like your muffler. What size would be best for a '96 Celica? Or does it matter much. Or should I just get a muffler tip to put on my stock? would the sound of the car differ much? |
