CIANCI Ryan: I saw the Hatch thread
SrPlaYR158: yea SrPlaYR158: saw all the recent posts about infusing and stuff CIANCI Ryan: I did SrPlaYR158: mmk CIANCI Ryan: There are going to be lil snags on infusion CIANCI Ryan: any company that does CF has snags or some zig zag in the weave SrPlaYR158: yea, but they wanna make sure that it doesn't standout too much SrPlaYR158: or that they arn't very big CIANCI Ryan: http://cianciperformance.com/exterior/hatc...eaveupclose.JPG CIANCI Ryan: thats what the weave will look like SrPlaYR158: mmk SrPlaYR158: thats pretty good i link that picture tonight for them SrPlaYR158: and another big thing that they were big about is a dis-satisfatction, imperfection return/exchange deal CIANCI Ryan: they can return it, but we dont refund or pay for shipping to return the item for the refund unless it was a obvious mistake that we made SrPlaYR158: yea i/ we can deal with shipping on returns CIANCI Ryan: we have pretty normal body part policy CIANCI Ryan: same as other vendors SrPlaYR158: mmk SrPlaYR158: and lets talk about infusion price and shipping SrPlaYR158: i'm pretty sure you saw that part of the discussion CIANCI Ryan: I did CIANCI Ryan: I dont honestly think you guys need infusion CIANCI Ryan: and it would take us longer to complete the deal if we infused them all SrPlaYR158: yea thats not a problem for us......the thing with these guys is we can understand time SrPlaYR158: but they are HUGE on quality and such SrPlaYR158: and even though the tag is more SrPlaYR158: the weight, quality and look ect... SrPlaYR158: is what they want CIANCI Ryan: Our quality is above what you will ever get from VIS GTP.. etc.. SrPlaYR158: yea SrPlaYR158: i dont' doubt your quality CIANCI Ryan: im uploading another pic for ya SrPlaYR158: mkm SrPlaYR158: but do you think that you'd be able to work close to 850$ as the guys have stated CIANCI Ryan: 850 shipped? SrPlaYR158: yea they are really hard on that, i mean since the supra hatch is 880$ and basically the only reason most these guys are in is cause its a GB which tries to get the price below CIANCI Ryan: http://www.cianciusa.com/photos/cfhatch/ CIANCI Ryan: you can check out the quality in the underside photos, its a show quality part all around, rolled edged, flushed seams, and polished out top and bottom CIANCI Ryan: I was saying before if we can get 15 people, 600 + 155sh CIANCI Ryan: non infused SrPlaYR158: yea well i think what i'm goin to be able to offer you is 10 people, infused CIANCI Ryan: Yeah, its not really worth it for us, we are swamped with orders CIANCI Ryan: and it cost a lot to build a quality mold SrPlaYR158: 8500$ your not interested in? CIANCI Ryan: its not 8500 worth of orders, it takes time and money to build a mold CIANCI Ryan: if I already had a mold done sure it would be great CIANCI Ryan: or you guys sent me a mold that was quality SrPlaYR158: like probably the most one of us could do is lay a decent 5 layer fiberglass exterior SrPlaYR158: MAYBE SrPlaYR158: like interior i don't even think anyone has the time to do SrPlaYR158: probably not the experience either CIANCI Ryan: it takes a lot of time CIANCI Ryan: let me find a picture CIANCI Ryan: of what our molds look like SrPlaYR158: mmk CIANCI Ryan: http://cianciperformance.com/teaserphotos/...blemoldhood.JPG CIANCI Ryan: thats part of a plug.. just getting ready to make a mold SrPlaYR158: nice SrPlaYR158: cut out? CIANCI Ryan: hmm, brb, I must have deleted all my mold pics CIANCI Ryan: ill take one SrPlaYR158: k CIANCI Ryan: http://www.cianciusa.com/photos/cfhatch/tablemold.JPG CIANCI Ryan: thats the quality of our molds CIANCI Ryan: 12" flange for Vacuum infusion/ Light RTM CIANCI Ryan: and im not trying to make bank off you guys, but there is a lot that is involved in making a new product CIANCI Ryan: Mold / Drill fixtures / material patterns CIANCI Ryan: etc.. SrPlaYR158: true, and in turn we arn't trying to rob you but we're not trying to spend a grand CIANCI Ryan: yeah CIANCI Ryan: at 600 bucks for 15 people CIANCI Ryan: I will do it CIANCI Ryan: but, I just cant justify it if there isnt 15 people CIANCI Ryan: with the other orders we take SrPlaYR158: infused? CIANCI Ryan: thats hand laid carbon CIANCI Ryan: even if its infused, the carbon is hand laid in the mold SrPlaYR158: yea SrPlaYR158: give me a price on infused CIANCI Ryan: I honestly dont think I could do it CIANCI Ryan: because of how long it takes to infuse them CIANCI Ryan: (wait material wise) CIANCI Ryan: id imagine your hatch will still only weigh around 12-14lbs non infused SrPlaYR158: mmk SrPlaYR158: and will the quality differ? SrPlaYR158: between? CIANCI Ryan: it wont be as light, but no the quality will still be very high CIANCI Ryan: the only diffrence is the infusion process uses less resin, and makes the part lighter SrPlaYR158: mmkk well i'll post this up on the forum and you can view the responses, and i'll talk to you about it CIANCI Ryan: Sounds good, I hope I dont sound mean about it CIANCI Ryan: I do want your business CIANCI Ryan: but, I just cant justify it knowing what all goes into it CIANCI Ryan: a lot of people can talk, and say they will do it, but when we give our word we hold true to it CIANCI Ryan: thats why, I am picky about what we do CIANCI Ryan: esp. with our current orders SrPlaYR158: yea SrPlaYR158: i understand i run business to and i know about people talking and not walking CIANCI Ryan: yeah SrPlaYR158: but i follow through too, when i say 10 i'll give you 10 and 15 i'll give you 15 CIANCI Ryan: yeah, but its not worth it for us to do it for 10 people SrPlaYR158: yea i understand CIANCI Ryan: I have close to 50 orders for our hoods CIANCI Ryan: with no GB CIANCI Ryan: and 10+ for our fenders CIANCI Ryan: more for gauge pods etc.. CIANCI Ryan: when I make a mold I usually plan on running 100-300 parts off of it CIANCI Ryan: if not more CIANCI Ryan: Im just banking that once other people see your guys hatch they will also want one CIANCI Ryan: for the celica SrPlaYR158: yea i don't doubt that, we have people all over the world reading that forum SrPlaYR158: and many of us who get it, go to shows CIANCI Ryan: yeah CIANCI Ryan: exactly CIANCI Ryan: thats what I am banking on SrPlaYR158: like i have HID this saturday SrPlaYR158: i'm not showing cause i found out to late and i have a few more things to fix before i enter CIANCI Ryan: but with our current projects lined up, and current orders, I would need atleast 15 people confirmed, to put your guys hatch into production, and take down another project for awhile SrPlaYR158: yea SrPlaYR158: i'll try and get them CIANCI Ryan: ok SrPlaYR158: and let you know when CIANCI Ryan: just let me know.. SrPlaYR158: oh and if i have like 3 hatches to one addy with shipping be cheaper? CIANCI Ryan: yup SrPlaYR158: ok |

he says high quality a lot, but yet it makes it seems like there's bound to be mistakes in it...
we want quality without the "mistakes" as for 15, i can understand, but it seems like they aren't that big of a company...i think there's like 5 things to buy from them, then sunroofs(not sure those are their make), but yea. 15 is kinda high, it's like what ViS would ask(im hoping they'll go for 10). anyways. plz just find out a bit more, i'll either call around later today or tomorrow, but i have a pounding headache right now so ima go pass out -------------------- |

but see what VIS says and we'll figure it out |

so are you possibly still in for this?
Without you in im kinda shaky on going w/ him, just because i am im sure the hood wont be done for some time, and as for his 15ppl rule...Does he realize that us Celica ppl wait near-years for our parts? -------------------- |

i don't think he realizes how into things we are and we don't mind the oh year or so wait for the new things cause they are rare when it happens......but what did VIS say?
i'm not 100% sure if i will be in cause i wanna turbo badly, and my engine needs a head job before i do that but if we can get a company for 600$ then i'd be in for it 100% so consynx work on VIS also if we get a small company (other than RYAN) we can keep the production limited to teh 15 of us or so |

I have a couple friends who have carbon fiber stuff from vis and gtp and a couple other places and there are small inperfections in all of them...nothin too big but slight pulls or zigzags...so we really cant put too much weight on it being.."perfect" because it isn't go to be no matter who we go with....expecially for the price were lookin at....if you want "perfect" for a hatch u'll be lookin at a couple thousand daollars...

don't worry, im guessing you'll be in this no matter what...
btw, how many people do we have now? What is the price that all of you think is fair/great. im Sure that $600 shipped is attainable as i am finding out that the way most co's make it they charge $450 originally. So yea, if shipping is like $150, what price do you think we should aim for shipped? Regular $600ish is lower? -------------------- |
