bad idea, it would take away some of the beautiful C/F and yea...

sleek = no lights tongue.gif
although just like a spoiler, if you want it you can put it in there, but it'd take some work

okay...
DRUMROLL PLEASE!

i have decided to post what i have so far...and some of it is sad.

JSP - They never called me back, but said they would.
-Though my phone had no signal for some of the day.
-maybe i'll call later today.

CIANCI - They will do $845 for 10 hoods
-This Price DOES Include Shipping
-Should take approx. 5 Months
-Two-to-Three layers of CF on top

ViS Racing - They will do $450 for 15 hoods and $500 for 10 ppl.
-This Price Does NOT Include Shipping
-This is a fiberglass mold w/ CF overlay
-Based on the hood, approx. 7 Months
-No clue on layers, but I will ask before process begins

Import Fan - They will do $600 for 10 hoods
-This Price DOES Include Shipping
-This is a fiberglass mold w/ CF Overlay
-No clue on Time(didn't figure it an issue)
-No clue on layers(same as above, figured 1 layer was enough)

I still have to talk to two more places,
Carbon By Design, and ABS.

Please start to form an idea of who you want to go with.

well my vote depends on whos has more quality, will it be hand lain and infused or what, what garentees as far as fitment do we have, will it be all shaved (no holes for w/w, spoiler) in other words is it going to be just like the one we have been talking about or different and if different how so.

also why don't you guys ask these companys about a price cut if we put there deals on out cars, somewhat of a sponsership (not full), i mean if someone is getting a cf hatch they most likely don't have a stock car and if they do they probably won't for long.

just a suggestion.

and oh yeah i vote no light too

i'm voting ViS only because i plan on ordering a hood from them in the future. i figure it would be made with the same concept of the hood, and there wouldn't be any color difference between them. plus it's a nice price.

Quality is what we dont know...you'll have to ask around or have personaly experience.
that's why i said once the hoods come in, the C-One people will know quality.
Hand laid goes for everything, infused is just a war to do it...i'm sure that any big Co would do fine as they generally ship out to get the product made, then have it shipped back when done. Cianci would do well at this at well, because he guarenteed it...btw his price in non-infused.
Of course it will be all shaved, why would they make a hatch ready for a spoiler when it changed from 95-96(or 97-98?) from 2-post to 3...

and we are getting a deal, even at $600 we are saving approx $50 each...and since we are getting a completely new fabricated part, there's only 10 of us, and it takes quite a bit to start from scratch.

if you want, when we decide who to go with i'll ask them about your sponsorship, or a sponsor-like act, though i dont completely understand you here since i think in a sponsorship they'd generally give us the discount we're already getting, or give it for free.

bump you bums

EDIT: do you guys really want me to ask around?
I have thought about it, and we've dealt with ViS before, and none have with Import Fan yet.

I figured everyone would pick ViS after we realized it is a good price(compared to others) and since we've already been working with them, to continue.

but if you have doubts about them, please let me know and i will follow through
i am sorry i have not been around much lately, i had two tests last thurs, and 1 tomorrow...so i've been on and off of here quickly

okay fools, since the only person who said other than ViS has changed his mind, i am going to call and get all the info as soon as Ralph96GT(at least i think it's him) picks up his hood and installs it, i want to make sure fitment is perfect, or damn near it

they woke me up today...
know no info about their quality.
but they were iffy on making it, they can make it for us and claim OFF-ROAD use only, unless we solve something with them(because we all live in dif states)...which means forced Lexan...which is costly, or something about buying stock glass and having them install...or just having them do it, then some kind of place that can siwtch the glass and claim it legal

i don't think a single cop will ask if your hatch is legal especially since they won't even know about it since very few of us will have it......

I am going to send PMs around as soon as the hoods are received, and get this moving...that is unless the C-One hoods aren't good, in that case we'll go w/ Import Fan or JSP im guessin since the price seems to have determined who we go w/

I'd rather have no glass. This gives us the option of installing plexiglass, or DOT approved glass.

I for one will have plexi glass, No sense in getting a CF hatch if you gonna put heavy glass back in.

No glass please Thanks you

so is plexi better than lexan or is it the same thing, i read somwhere that lexan will turn yello from the sun and scratch really easy and its difficult to tint and doesn't look right when it is tinted. just wandering. i do want to be able to show my car too, not doing it so much for the weight savings but that would be nice

lol, i dunno about ANY of those comments...
go on Ebay and look up Sonoma and Lexan.
but buddy bought his rear window there, and it looked fine, it was also made tinted...looks like maybe 20%...i'd want 35% tongue.gif
but yea, it SHOULD be fine, i'd be more worried about the cost.

I could see it scratching, but im not doing the research on here just yet, as i am not doing this right away, i need to wait till i have $ to get lighter glass
