so most of you know i wrecked my car and its been parted out, the major stuff is gone, door panels, seats, some interior pieces, rear bumper, wheels

what should i make sure is taken off before it gets towed

rear spoiler
hatch cover
center console, shifter trim
rear view mirror
climate control unit (since it is totalled can i just cut that piece that you have to unhook down by the pedals or do you need that?

i want to remove as much as possible so i can just still sell the parts withotu the shell still sitting in my driveway!

I'd remove the entire interior if you can. Can I have the shifter trim and the climate control(don't cut the cables, they're easy to remove...check the how-to article for directions. wink.gif) if they're available? smile.gif

Can I have your license plates and VIN tags?

Edit:
And for real, I'd kill for any and all screws and trim connectors you have. Mine have broken and such. You have a black ceiling panel? I'd buy that too.

nik i have been meaning to get back to you

the rear conversion kit is something i dont really want to get tied up in - i removed one side and the backplate just WONT come off i have tried everything, i have half of the other side to go, if i can finish it before the 15th i will get it for you, but i am not mechanically inclined at all, and i also dont wanan be responsible for not sending you the right thing or what not.

you dont have to take it apart completely. All you have to do is take off the 2 bolts that hold the hub to the rear strut, the 2 controll arms, and disconnect the e-brake line .

Thats it.

well one side is already removed down to the backplate and the other just needs the e-brake drum + the backplate to get off

and i have no clue how to take the e-brake line off

I think it's connected inside the car via a couple bolts. It's located underneath your center console(which is easily removed via a couple screws and a couple bolts.)

actually coomer, that's not exactly correct. You can do it that way, but that means taking apart the ebrake from the inside, which you dont have to do.

This is what you do.

Get underneath the car and crawl down to the middle where the shifter should be. When you look up, there will be a metal plate that is held by one 12 or 14mm "nut" on each corner. (4 nuts total) Take those nuts off and you will see where the shifter cables go in, and where the ebrake lines end. For the e-brake lines, all you have to do is unclip them. They are connected the same way your throttle body cable is connected to your throttle body. After you take them off, on each cable, there should be 2 clips that are holding the cable it self and bolted on to the bottom of the car. They are these so that the cables don't drag on the ground. Just take off those little bolts and that's it.

Don't take the e-brake cable off the hub/back plate. Just leave them on.

i have already taken it off back there

i think the rear disk and all its parts will just be going to the junkyard unless someone wants to drive down tomorrow or wednesday and get them, sorry nik frown.gif

Do you have all the plastic bolts/screws that hold the hatch panel peices to the body? I broke most of mine.

I replied in your f/s post about that connector for the power windows...i was wondering if you could get that for me?

It's the grey female connector, about the middle of the door, has red and green wires running into it (maybe red/ black?) i need that connector, and as much of that wire still connected to it as you can. It is clipped to the door, all you have to do is kinda pull hard and wiggle it, or stick your hand around the back and try to depress the latch thingies.

Thanks man.
